Autumn was rescued in by DCHR in October 2010 and Loran automatically felt a connection with her. after training her how to ride and jump for many months we found out her very interesting history! Autumn actually fractured her knee as a filly and was deemed un-ridable. Having already ridden/jumped her Loran immediately had our vet check her to make sure she was ok. After x-rays and other tests we found that Autumn had healed perfectly from the injury and was in the clear for riding and jumping!
Autumn had a colt named Bubba and he will stay with her forever as she had many other babies in the past taken away so Bubba is her baby that she can keep forever. She is now retired from riding and now just enjoys being loved on and getting lots of daily attention!
Our mission at DreamCatcher horse rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate and educate. We strive to rehabilitate each equine with their own individually required vet care, farrier care and nutritional needs. We provide a safe shelter, personal attention and unconditional love so that we can heal their traumatic past. We invite our community to our facility for educational equine programs. We want to share the rewarding love and joy our equines give back to us. Our goals are to create awareness and to educate the community on preventing cruelty, rescue and rehabilitation. Our commitment to these equines is to be their voice and give them the chance they deserve.
