Clean and seep tack and feed rooms, take trash for pick up.  Fence painting and repairs. General clean up of public areas.

Monday thru Sunday – FEEDING
4 – 6pm
Assisting with chores such as feeding, stall cleaning,  turn out horses, sweeping and tidying up communal areas, cleaning out water buckets etc..  For this we prefer volunteers  over 12 years old and preferably some experience with horses as you will be handling them -sometimes without supervision.

 Saturday 9am – 6pm and
Sunday 1-6pm – LESSON HELP

We need lesson assistants for our trainers during Saturdays ( anytime between 9-6) and Sundays (1-6) – these volunteers need to be at lease 12 years old and with some experience (eg. be able to go get a horse unassisted, help with grooming and tacking and help with supervising students, also to be able to give pony rides and barn tours).

Even if you cant stay all day  a few hours  would be greatly appreciated!  We have a  junior trainer program and lesson assistants do have an opportunity to become a trainer here  when they are experienced enough and at least 16 years old.

All volunteers are  able to work with the  rescue horses too - grooming, bathing caring for them and assisting with vet and farrier visits too providing they  can  do this unsupervised. (we will of course show you how initially)

 OCCASIONAL VOLUNTEER WORK

Finally, we keep a volunteer bank list for events you can be added to such as birthday parties, group field trips, fund raisers  and also for  events we go to in the community throughout the year to raise funds. these volunteers  help  with many things we need such as running games, pony rides, helping children get on /off horses, supervise barn areas, help with crafts and games, go to community events and tell the public about our cause and give info out etc… its a fun way to socialize and make new friends!

We also have opportunities for  administrative work such as filing, grant writing, coordinating, marketing, and always welcome any ideas you may have to help us raise funds for our cause – without people like you  we could not continue with our quest to help these wonderful Equines in need!

So if you think you or a member of your family would like to spare a few hours a week  helping us please contact us with  what you would like to do to help and also complete the attached form and get it back to us. we look forward to hearing from you and having you as part of our Dreamcatcher Family!

Thank you for reading and I hope you will consider donating some of your time to help us with our quest to continue our care and rehabilitation of these wonderful Equines in need!
